A system of precast flooring which allows for an unpropped and convenient installation. Consisting of 1.2m wide panels which are craned onto supporting walls and beams. The joints between the panels are then grouted, which completes the minimum requirement for internal decking. Weather exposed (external) decking will require a 50mm concrete topping with reinforcing mesh. The soffit (underside) of the panels may be painted with a textured paint or skimmed if ceilings are not installed. Hollowcore allows home-owners to minimize damage to existing areas due to eliminating propping, which also allows for existing ceilings to retained if needed.
Hollowcore can be supported and RSJ (Steel) Beams and Precast Beams and Lintols which are craned and installed along with the decking. A Precast Staircase may also be included in the installation. Extruded, hollow cores in the panels allow for plumbing and electrics to run in the slab, core-drilling and cutting of the slab may be achieved to accommodate further requirements.
